The Refereeing Pathway
So, you’ve refereed your first comp and you’ve loved every second of it and now you want to ref at the Olympics… Simple right? You know everything and you’d happily give Lasha or Toma a no lift if required. Well… not so fast. There are plenty of hoops to jump through and you need a lot… I’ll rephrase that… you’ll need years of experience and certifications before you are considered, by your governing body, ready to be put forward for selection for major events.
So how do you get there? The below details the pathway for any budding referee who wants to push their career on past the Tier 3 competitions as I have done.
